Learning and living with joy.

FOKUS LERNZENTRUM is run by the non-profit Luisen Bildungsverein e.V. in Darmstadt. Since it was founded in 1998, the association has worked for education, encounter and respectful coexistence under the motto “Learning and living with joy”. With our new learning centre we carry this idea forward: we open up new educational opportunities for people regardless of their origin and social background.

At the heart of our work is tutoring for school students. We help them understand what they learn, gain confidence in their own abilities and reach their goals at school. We want to do more than pass on knowledge: we want to encourage the joy of learning and independent development.

Beyond that, our projects and educational programmes create opportunities for encounter and participation in society for people of all ages. Vocational courses are also part of what we offer. As part of a non-profit association, we work without aiming for profit – for more equal opportunities, diversity and shared responsibility.
